Our Story
Once upon a time, in a magical land in northern England, where it rains a little bit too much, there is a playful children's-wear brand called For Just ONE Day.
Hello, I’m Becky, and for as long as I can remember I have loved dressing-up. From an early age my mum made dance costumes for me, including a Pearly Queen, a sailor On The Good Ship Lollipop, and even a spider at the Ugly Bug Ball. Since the 90’s festivals have been part of my life and I now have a dress-up collection of hats, sequins, and vintage military attire that get pulled out once a year for our annual trip to Glastonbury.
Over the past 20 years I have designed womenswear, lingerie, and children’s wear, styled spaces at festivals, created events and parties, and made costumes for my children.
For Just One Day, created when my girls were younger and named after the beautiful book by Laura Leuck is a playful children’s brand of vintage inspired dress-up.
Born from a love of costume, festivals and magic! My mission is to bring joy and wonder to children's dress-up, one handmade, vintage-inspired creation at a time.
We believe in the power of imagination and the magic of childhood. Where every day is an adventure and children (adults too) can transform into their wildest dreams, whether it's a fearless pirate sailing the seven seas or a graceful princess twirling in a ballroom.
